A pressure group under the banner of the Warri Peace Ambassadors has thrown its weight behind House of Representatives aspirant, Sheriff Mulade, ahead of the 2027 general elections, while also calling for stronger unity among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency.

In a statement made available to Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters, the group said the forthcoming elections should not be viewed as an ordinary political exercise, but as an opportunity for citizens to elect credible and competent leaders capable of delivering effective representation and promoting peaceful coexistence in the constituency.

The group, led by its President, Mrs. Tessy Oki, and Secretary, Friday Ugedi, described Chief Mulade as a grassroots-oriented leader with a long-standing record of advocacy and commitment to the development of the people of Warri Federal Constituency and the Niger Delta at large.

According to the statement, the endorsement followed what the group described as a careful assessment of aspirants positioning for the House of Representatives seat.

“For us as Warri Peace Ambassadors, the 2027 general elections present another golden opportunity for the people to make the right choice by supporting leaders with proven competence, accessibility and commitment to the welfare of the people. Chief Sheriff Mulade stands out as a credible choice for the Warri Federal Constituency seat,” the statement read.

The group further noted that Mulade’s contributions to peacebuilding and youth development across the region have earned him wide acceptance among different ethnic groups within the constituency.

They emphasized that the aspirant has consistently promoted peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo people through advocacy programmes, sports development initiatives and educational support schemes.

Describing him as a bridge builder and advocate of unity, the group maintained that Mulade possesses the exposure, leadership experience and practical understanding required to provide quality representation at the National Assembly.

The Warri Peace Ambassadors also urged members and supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress to rally support for Mulade’s aspiration, insisting that his leadership qualities and people-oriented approach make him a suitable candidate for the position.

The group concluded by appealing to residents and eligible voters across Warri Federal Constituency to embrace unity and support candidates capable of fostering peace, development and inclusive representation ahead of the 2027 polls.
