Umahi: Insecurity Did Not Start Under Tinubu, Stop Insulting the President
Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called on citizens to refrain from directing personal insults at President Bola Tinubu over the country’s security challenges.
Speaking on national issues, Umahi argued that insecurity in Nigeria did not begin under the current administration, noting that the problem has persisted through successive governments over the years.
The minister acknowledged the concerns of Nigerians regarding security but maintained that addressing the situation requires collective effort, patience, and support for ongoing government initiatives.
According to him, while citizens have the right to express dissatisfaction and hold leaders accountable, public discourse should remain respectful and focused on constructive criticism rather than personal attacks.
Umahi further emphasized that the Tinubu administration inherited longstanding security issues and is working to implement measures aimed at improving safety and stability across the country.
