Tompolo, Kestin Pondi Lead Tantita Into Agricultural Revolution With Mega Rice Farm Project in Niger Delta
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited expands investment into agriculture with landmark rice farming projects.
The Tantita Rice Farm Ltd has officially unveiled a major agricultural initiative aimed at transforming the Niger Delta wetlands into one of West Africa’s largest paddy rice production hubs.
The project features a 25-hectare rice farm supported by a modern, world-class rice processing facility, marking a significant expansion into large-scale agriculture and economic diversification in the region.
The initiative is driven under the leadership of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, alongside the Managing Director, High Chief Kestin Ebimorigha Pondi.
According to the project vision, the development is designed to reduce overdependence on oil revenue and promote sustainable agricultural production across the Niger Delta. It is also expected to open up new economic opportunities for host communities and strengthen food production capacity in Nigeria.
The farm is projected to deliver key developmental goals, including alternative livelihood support, enhanced food security, job creation, and broad economic empowerment within the region.
Stakeholders within Tantita describe the project as a strategic shift from oil-driven income to agricultural sustainability, reinforcing the long-standing call for a transition from “oil to soil.”
With this latest investment, Tantita Rice Farm Ltd is positioning itself as a key player in Nigeria’s agricultural transformation agenda, with expectations of long-term impact on food supply and rural development.
“Welcome to the future powered by Tantita,” the statement concluded, reflecting optimism about the project’s economic and social significance.
