In a renewed effort to expand access to quality healthcare at the grassroots, Nashery’s Global Initiative (NGI) has announced plans to host a free medical outreach aimed at providing essential health services to underserved populations in Lagos State.

The outreach, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, will take place at Ansar-ud-Deen Primary School Field, Imuti (via Italuwo), within the Shagamu/Ikorodu axis. The programme is expected to commence at 10:00 a.m. prompt.

According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to bridge the gap in healthcare access, particularly for residents who face financial or geographical barriers to medical services.

The intervention aligns with NGI’s broader mission of promoting community development, preventive healthcare, and public health awareness across Nigeria.

Residents attending the outreach will benefit from a range of free medical services, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar (diabetes) screening, body mass index (BMI) and weight assessments, HIV screening and counselling, and general medical consultations.

Essential medications will also be dispensed at no cost, alongside health education sessions focused on disease prevention and healthy living.

Speaking on the initiative, the organisers emphasised the importance of early detection and preventive care in reducing the burden of disease in communities.

They noted that many health conditions, if identified early, can be effectively managed or prevented, thereby improving overall quality of life.

NGI further called on well-meaning individuals, organisations, and stakeholders to support the outreach through partnerships, donations, and volunteer efforts.

The group stressed that collaborative support is critical to reaching more communities and sustaining similar interventions in the future.

The outreach forms part of NGI’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to deliver impactful, people-centred programmes, with a focus on compassion, service, and sustainable development.

Interested partners, donors, and volunteers are encouraged to reach out through the organisation’s official communication channels to participate in the initiative via Whatsapp: +2349035046262.

The organisers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening public health in Nigeria, noting that collective action remains key to achieving healthier communities nationwide.
