Nashery’s Global Initiative (NGI) has successfully carried out a comprehensive Free Medical Outreach in Shagamu/Ikorodu area of Ogun State which share boundary with Lagos State, delivering essential healthcare services to members of the community.
The outreach, held on Saturday, 25th April, 2026, at Ansar-ud-Deen Primary School Field, via Itamulowo, was preceded by a community sensitization rally aimed at creating awareness and mobilizing residents. The rally recorded active participation from volunteers who engaged the community through direct interaction, music, and distribution of informational materials.
On the day of the outreach, a well-coordinated team of medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and medical students provided a range of free healthcare services, including:
1. Medical consultations and basic diagnosis.
2. Vital signs assessment (blood pressure, blood sugar, temperature, etc.).
3. Free drug dispensing.
4. Health education and counselling.
The program witnessed a significant turnout of community members, many of whom benefited from the services and expressed appreciation for the initiative.
The success of the outreach was made possible through the collaborative efforts of NGI volunteers, the support and participation of members of the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NiMSA), and other dedicated healthcare personnel who contributed their time and expertise.
Despite minor logistical challenges encountered during the mobilization phase, the outreach was effectively executed, demonstrating the team’s resilience, commitment, and shared vision for community impact.
Speaking on the initiative, the organizers reiterated their commitment to continued community engagement and follow-up on beneficiaries, ensuring that the impact of the outreach extends beyond a one-day event.
Nashery’s Global Initiative (NGI) remains steadfast in its mission of transforming lives through compassion, love, and purpose, with a continued focus on accessible healthcare, youth development, education and humanitarian service.
