Delta’s Healthcare Future Gets Lift as New College Opens in Ovrode
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been commended for fulfilling a key campaign pledge following the completion of the College of Health Technology in Ovrode, Isoko North Local Government Area.
The newly completed institution is expected to expand access to health-related education and professional training for students in Isoko North and surrounding communities, many of whom previously had to travel outside the area to pursue such opportunities.
Commenting on the project, social commentator Ossai Ovie Success praised the governor’s efforts, describing the facility as evidence of the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare and educational infrastructure across the state.
“I am not disappointed in the College of Health Technology built by Governor Oborevwori because of the quality of the facilities, the Governor’s vision, and the remarkable transformation taking place in the health sector across Delta State,” he said.
The project is seen as a significant step toward strengthening healthcare manpower development in the state. Stakeholders believe the institution will not only provide quality training for future healthcare professionals but also create employment opportunities and contribute to improved healthcare service delivery.
Residents have also welcomed the development, noting that the presence of the college will make health education more accessible to young people within the Isoko nation and beyond.
The completion of the project is being highlighted by supporters of the administration as another milestone under Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, which focuses on infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved social services across Delta State.
With the facility now completed, expectations are high that the college will play a vital role in producing skilled health workers while supporting the state’s broader development goals.
