Hon. (Mrs.) Olamide Falana, an aspirant in the recently concluded Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency House of Representatives election, has expressed concern over what she described as a possible attempt at intimidation following a police invitation linked to a petition allegedly filed against her by a government appointee.

Falana made the disclosure on Wednesday through a post shared on her verified Facebook page, where she stated that she received a call from the Okitipupa Area Command concerning the matter.

“This morning, I got a call from Okitipupa Area Command in respect of a petition against me from a government appointee. I hope this is not intimidation after elections. It will not work,” she wrote.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the petition had not been made public, and the identity of the government appointee involved was not disclosed. Efforts to obtain comments from the police authorities and other parties connected to the matter were unsuccessful at press time.

The development has generated reactions among political observers and supporters within the constituency, with some calling for transparency, due process, and fairness in the handling of political-related matters after the elections.

No official statement has yet been issued by the Okitipupa Area Command regarding the petition or the nature of the allegations involved.
