NYSC Postpones 2026 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course In Niger State Over Camp Renovation
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the postponement of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream orientation exercise for prospective corps members posted to Niger State.
According to the scheme, the decision follows ongoing renovation works at the NYSC Orientation Camp located in Paiko, which suffered extensive damage from a recent windstorm.
This was disclosed in an official statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the scheme, Caroline Embu.
The statement explained that the condition of the camp facilities makes it impossible for the orientation programme to commence as previously scheduled.
NYSC management stated that efforts are currently underway to secure an alternative venue to accommodate affected prospective corps members and ensure the exercise is conducted in a safe and suitable environment.
The scheme assured affected corps members that a new date for commencement, alongside other relevant arrangements, would be communicated through official channels once finalised.
NYSC also appealed to prospective corps members and their families to remain patient and await further updates.
The management expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the postponement and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring conducive conditions for orientation activities.
