A painful tragedy has struck Ogrieagbene Community, the hometown of former Senator James Manager, following the reported death of two young sisters from the same parents in a fatal motor accident.
The deceased, identified as Esther Meinzide and Magret Meinzide, reportedly died on October 5, 2026, leaving their parents, relatives, friends and the entire community devastated by the heartbreaking loss.
According to details on their burial poster, Esther was born on June 18, 2001, while her younger sister, Magret, was born on June 17, 2003. Their lives were tragically cut short on the same day, October 5, 2026.
The death of the two sisters represents a devastating loss for their family, particularly their parents, who have been confronted with the unimaginable pain of losing two daughters in one tragic incident.
Following consultations with their father, Super Comrade Joseph Evah mobilised a delegation of youths to the burial site in Ikorodu, Lagos, to identify with the bereaved family, offer condolences and demonstrate solidarity during this difficult period.
The burial arrangements indicated that the sisters would be laid to rest on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sabo/Ilepoba Cemetery, Lagos.
The programme also included a brief stop at the family’s residence at No. 19 Oshintek Road, along Indomie Road, Ojuoro Phase 2, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos, following the interment.
The visit by Super Comrade Joseph Evah and the delegation of youths was a touching demonstration of compassion, solidarity and communal responsibility, reminding the grieving family that they are not alone in their moment of sorrow.
