NDDC Moves to Digitize Procurement, Hosts Stakeholders’ Workshop in Imo
The Niger Delta Development Commission has intensified efforts to reform its procurement system with the rollout of a stakeholder sensitization and training workshop scheduled to hold in Imo State.
The programme, titled “Policy Reform and Digitization of the NDDC Procurement System,” will take place on April 29 at Glo Rann Event Centre in Owerri, bringing together contractors, service providers, and other key stakeholders within the region.
The initiative forms part of the Commission’s broader agenda to modernize its operations, strengthen accountability, and improve the efficiency of its procurement processes through the adoption of digital systems.
Participants are expected to gain practical insights into the evolving framework guiding procurement activities under the new reform structure.
In its official communication, the Commission urged stakeholders to take part in the exercise, noting: “Be part of the drive towards transparency, efficiency, and digital transformation in the NDDC procurement process.”
The Commission further encouraged early registration through the designated QR code on its official flier, emphasizing that the workshop presents “this opportunity to stay informed, empowered, and connected.”
Industry observers say the move signals a renewed push by the NDDC to enhance transparency and restore confidence in its procurement system, while ensuring that partners and service providers are fully aligned with its digital transition strategy.
