Abuja Erupts as Nigerians Unleash Fury Against Maladroit Leadership on Day 10 of Bad Governance Uprising
Nigerians stormed the streets of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Saturday, embarking on a one-million-man march to mark the 10th day of the nationwide EndBadGovernment revolt.
The protesters, armed with scathing banners and placards, vented their outrage against the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu, which they claim have plunged them into abyssal poverty and despair.
“Down with Incompetent Leadership!” and “End Bad Governance in Nigeria Now!” read some of the placards. The protesters have been demanding an end to the crippling inflation, food inflation, and rising cost of living that has turned their lives into a living hell.
Despite the brutal crackdown by security forces, the demonstration has continued, with the protesters defying all odds to march to the Eagles Square on the first day of the protest. Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore confirmed the vicious attack on the protesters, including the killing of a teenage boy in the Kubwa area.
The government’s attempts to discredit the protest as “sponsored” have fallen flat, with no evidence to back up their claims. The protesters remain resolute, demanding an end to the maladroit leadership that has brought Nigeria to its knees.
“We’ll continue to rise up until our voices are heard and real change is achieved!” said one protester. The EndBadGovernment protest has become a beacon of resistance against inept governance, and Nigerians are determined to see it through to the end.
