President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken a major step toward the 2027 general elections after formally obtaining the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms.
The move follows mounting calls from various political groups urging the president to seek a second and final term in office.
The forms were collected on his behalf by James Faleke, who said the decision reflects a coordinated effort by numerous support groups within the APC to back Tinubu’s candidacy.
Faleke explained that the initiative aims to galvanize resources and build widespread political support for the president, citing what he described as significant progress made under Tinubu’s administration across key sectors.
The development is expected to intensify early political alignments within the ruling party as attention gradually shifts toward the 2027 presidential race.
