NYSC Shifts Orientation Date For Enugu, Osun Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a change in the orientation schedule for prospective corps members deployed to Enugu and Osun states under the 2026 Batch A Stream II exercise.
The adjustment was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu.
According to the statement, the orientation course for affected corps members will now commence on April 28 and conclude on May 18, 2026.
NYSC explained that the shift became necessary due to ongoing renovation works at the orientation camps in both states by their respective governments.
The scheme clarified that the change applies strictly to Enugu and Osun states, noting that the orientation exercise for all other states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) remains unchanged.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the orientation exercise for all other states and the FCT will hold from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026,” the statement read.
The NYSC advised all affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised dates and make necessary arrangements.
Meanwhile, the scheme also confirmed the release of call-up letters for the 2026 Batch A Stream II programme. The deployment details were announced via its official social media platforms, signaling readiness for the nationwide exercise scheduled to begin on April 22.
