Ondo Pupil Earns Distinction In National Mathematics Competition

A young pupil from Amapere, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Fukpene Samson Ebikimi, has distinguished himself academically after scoring 74 percent in the Annual Mathematics Competition organised by Cargo Desk Petroleum/Gas Limited in collaboration with the International School Support Programme (ISSP).

His outstanding performance earned him a Distinction Award, placing him among the top-performing participants recognised in this year’s national mathematics competition.

The prestigious award was presented to the young scholar during an official ceremony held yesterday in Ikeja, Lagos State, where outstanding participants from across the country were honoured for their exceptional performance in mathematics.

Speaking after the presentation, the father of the award recipient, Mr. Fukpene Baitei, expressed profound gratitude to God, describing the achievement as a significant milestone for the family and a source of inspiration for other young students to pursue academic excellence.

Mr. Baitei also commended Cargo Desk Petroleum/Gas Limited and the International School Support Programme (ISSP) for organising the competition, noting that such initiatives encourage healthy academic competition and help identify and nurture exceptional talents in mathematics across Nigeria.

The Annual Mathematics Competition is designed to identify, develop and reward outstanding mathematical talents while promoting a culture of academic excellence among students nationwide.

The achievement has been described as a proud moment for Ondo State, particularly the people of Amapere in Ese-Odo Local Government Area, as the young scholar continues to demonstrate the immense potential of Nigerian children when given the opportunity to excel.
