Mulade Accepts NDC Decision, Throws Weight Behind Pedro Bekenawei
Renowned peace ambassador, environmentalist and development advocate, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, PhD, has congratulated Chief Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei on his emergence as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Warri Federal Constituency election.
In a statement made available to Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters, Mulade expressed appreciation to the leadership of the NDC for providing him the platform and opportunity to pursue his political ambition.
While acknowledging the party’s decision to set aside the outcome of its primaries and adopt an alternative selection process, Mulade stated that the supremacy of the party remains paramount.
“It is imperative to state that political office seeking is not a do-or-die affair, and I am not a desperate office seeker. My vision has always been to contribute collaboratively towards permanent ethnic unity, progress, development and peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency,” he said.
The peace advocate reiterated his commitment to promoting harmony and development across Warri and its environs, stressing that lasting progress can only be achieved through mutual respect, cooperation and peaceful coexistence among all ethnic groups in the constituency.
Mulade also congratulated Chief Bekenawei on his emergence as the party’s flag bearer and wished him success in the political journey ahead.
“I wish to seize this opportunity once again to congratulate my dear brother, Chief Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei, on his successful emergence as the NDC flag bearer for Warri Federal Constituency. I wish him God’s guidance and success,” he added.
He further expressed gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering commitment, dedication and confidence in him throughout the political process.
Mulade appealed to members of the NDC, stakeholders and residents of Warri Federal Constituency to unite behind the party’s candidate in the interest of peace, development and progress.
According to him, despite cultural differences and competing interests, the future of Warri depends largely on collaborative efforts, mutual respect and a shared commitment to peaceful coexistence and sustainable development.
He concluded by urging party faithful and stakeholders to give Chief Bekenawei the necessary support as the constituency prepares for the forthcoming election.
