Delta South APC Stakeholders ENDORSE Joel-onowakpo, Tinubu, Oborervwori For 2027

A coalition of prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Delta South Senatorial District has officially endorsed Thomas Joel-Onowakpo for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement also reaffirmed support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate and Sheriff Oborevwori for a second term as governor.

Speaking at the rally, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dennis Brutu Otuaro, described the endorsement as strategic and necessary:

“Senator Joel-Onowakpo has done his best in the Senate, and it is only necessary that he is returned to consolidate on the gains he recorded in his first term.”

“In the same vein, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori deserve second tenures because of their outstanding performances through the Renewed Hope Agenda and the M.O.R.E Agenda respectively.”

Otuaro emphasized party unity and confidence in electoral victory:

“In Delta South Senatorial District, we are united by a common purpose, and we are confident that the APC will win massively in Delta State in the 2027 general elections.”

The endorsement took place at a declaration rally in Oleh and was backed by notable leaders including:

Julius Pondi

Emomotimi Guwor

Johnson Erijo

Emmanuel Amgbaduba

Tonye Timi

The motion for endorsement was moved and adopted through a voice vote by party members and supporters.

2027: Pondi, Otuaro, Guwor, Other Delta South Stakeholders Endorse Senator Joel-Onowakpo For Second Term

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dennis Brutu Otuaro, was among key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, Delta South Senatorial District, who, on Friday, endorsed the senator representing the district, Thomas Joel-Onowakpo, for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

They expressed their support at the official declaration rally for Senator Joel-Onowakpo held at Oleh Township Stadium in the Isoko South Local Government Area of the state.

They also declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu as their sole candidate for the presidential election, and Sheriff Oborevwori for the governorship poll.

The other prominent stakeholders included the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency of Delta State in the House of Representatives, Julius Pondi; Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor; Chief of Staff to the Delta State Governor, Johnson Erijo; APC state vice chairman and chairman of the senatorial district, Emmanuel Amgbaduba; Executive Director of Corporate Services, South South Development Commission, Tonye Timi.

Also present were the chairmen of the local government areas in Delta South – Dagidi Andaye (Bomadi), Julius Takeme (Burutu), Prince Godwin Ogorugba (Isoko North), Isaac Aguanah (Patani), Warri Ovoke Friday (Isoko South), Weyinmi Agbateyiniro (Warri South), Sylvester Oromoni (Warri West), and Festus Ashima (Warri North), among others.

The motion to adopt Senator Joel-Onowakpo, President Tinubu, and Governor Oborevwori was moved by Erijo and seconded by Timi, while Guwor put it to a voice vote, which received overwhelming support from party members and supporters.

Dr Otuaro described the endorsement as a strategic move to ensure electoral victory for the APC in Delta South, expressing optimism about increased development in the region.

According to him, party leaders and members are united in mobilizing voters ahead of the elections.

He said:

“Senator Joel-Onowakpo has done his best in the Senate, and it is only necessary that he is returned to consolidate on the gains he recorded in his first term.”
