On Monday, President Bola Tinubu approved a restructuring of his media and communications team, appointing his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, along with new appointees Sunday Dare and Daniel Bwala, to work together as his official spokespersons.

The president’s decision aims to ensure more effective and consistent communication of government policies and decisions. Under the restructuring, three Special Advisers will collectively serve as spokespersons for the administration.

A statement issued by Onanuga titled “President Tinubu approves restructuring of media and communications team” outlined the changes. It noted that Sunday Dare, previously the Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, has now been reassigned as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications. Daniel Bwala, who had served as the spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council, has been appointed as Special Adviser, Policy Communication.
