Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has extended his best wishes to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State. Obasanjo was in the state to inaugurate the Ojaja Park, a smart city project built by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

During his visit, Obasanjo paid a courtesy call on Governor Aiyedatiwa and reflected on his own political campaign experiences. He recalled how, during his 1999 presidential campaign, he traveled across the six states of the South West in a single day, starting in Akure, Ondo State, and ending in Lagos by 8 p.m. He acknowledged the challenges of election campaigns and wished Aiyedatiwa the best of luck in his endeavors.
