No recent infrastructural improvement in Ondo _Ebiseni
Sola Ebiseni, the Labour Party candidate for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, claims that the Labour Party is the frontrunner in the upcoming election. Speaking with The PUNCH in Akure, he argued that since former Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s tenure from 1999 to 2014, the state has seen no significant infrastructure improvements.
Ebiseni emphasized that the Labour Party, which governed during Mimiko’s administration, is a well-known entity in Ondo State and highlighted their achievements in education, health, and rural development. He criticized the current administration for neglecting infrastructure projects, including modern markets, roads, and health facilities like the University of Medical Sciences and the Gani Fawehinmi Diagnostic Centre.
Responding to claims that the Labour Party has been inactive during the campaign period, Ebiseni explained that they are employing a strategic campaign approach, focusing on grassroots engagement rather than traditional large gatherings. He assured that the party is actively campaigning across all 18 local government areas and emphasized the importance of reminding voters of the Labour Party’s contributions.
Ebiseni also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to ensure that the election is conducted fairly and credibly.
