One dies as dangote truck collides in Lagos

An unidentified man was killed in a truck accident in the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State. The collision occurred at Araga Bus Stop, Poka Road, around 7pm on Monday, when an articulated truck tried to overtake a mini-truck, leading to a crash. Nosa Okunbor, Head of the Public Affairs Unit at LASEMA, reported that the articulated truck driver fled the scene.

LASEMA’s Whale Response Team from Epe Base was dispatched after receiving distress calls at 7:07pm. By 7:22pm, the team arrived and found the mini-truck, loaded with Dangote Cement, involved in the accident. The collision caused one of the motor boys riding on the cement to fall and lose his life. The body was collected by LRT and handed over to Noforija Police Station, with the remains later taken to Epe General Hospital Morgue.
