Hotel Explosion, cultist on wanted list by forces

Before the incident, the person who detonated the explosives at the Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt on June 25 was already wanted by the police. The state government owns the hotel that was damaged by an explosion that happened during a demonstration in Rivers State against the term of local government chairman.

Hospitals throughout the state were instructed to remain vigilant for patients with such injuries and to swiftly contact the authorities, as per NAN’s report, following a directive from State Commissioner for Health Dr. Adaeze Oreh. Later, the health commission stated that a patient who had suffered the injury mentioned had been detained after reporting to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

She said that after the patient’s friends took him unconscious to the hospital and said he had been in a car accident, the doctors “immediately identified that the injuries seen on this individual were not in tandem with a road travel accident, but rather have similarities to injuries that would have come from a blast” after looking at the patient’s injuries. The command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, claimed in a statement on Sunday that the suspect had been on the police’s “wanted list” prior to the incident.

Iringe-Koko charged Josiah with taking part in several armed robberies in the state between 2012 and 2016, which included well-known bank robberies headed by a man going under the nickname Full Payment. After the explosion, he was taken into custody right away, and he is now undergoing medical attention for severe wounds.
Josiah, who was previously evasive, is a member of the Vikings Fraternity and the robbery gang’s expert in detonating dynamite. She said, “He has admitted to setting off the dynamite at the Port Harcourt–Aba Expressway.” She claimed that in order to find Josiah’s collaborators and sponsors for the explosion, police detectives were diligently following leads.
