Pipeline Security Surveillance Contract: Arogbo Ijaw kingdom Seeks Equitable Representation

The people of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom, under the auspices of the ‘Movement for the Rights of Arogbo Ibe’ (MRAI), have made a passionate appeal to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (also known as Tompolo) to reconsider their kingdom in the pipeline surveillance security contract awarded to Tantita Security Services Limited.

While commending Tompolo’s relentless efforts in curbing oil thefts in the Niger Delta region, MRAI expressed concern over the disparity in employment opportunities. “Our research has shown that the interest of Arogbo kingdom is not well represented in the pipeline surveillance security contracts, while our neighboring Ijaw communities are thriving with employment opportunities under Tantita,” said the group.

MRAI kindly requested that Tompolo consider their kingdom in the following ways:

– Grant reasonable slots in the pipeline surveillance security contracts to their kingdom to address the alarming rate of social vices among the teeming unemployed youths.

– Ensure fair representation and equal opportunities for their people.

– Address the neglect and marginalisation of their kingdom in the Niger Delta region.

“We believe this is a matter of equality, and we therefore appeal to Tompolo’s sense of fairness to act now,” said the group.

Our appeal stems from the fact that, High Chief Tonpolo’s impeccable gesture has potential in addressing oil theft and security related issues with a more wider representation and we do hope that Tompolo re-considers the Kingdom’s request in the pipeline surveillance security contracts.

“While acknowledging the fact that High Chief Tompolo is an embodiment of justice and equality, we do hope that our appeal receives his kind consideration.
