Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr Pays Tribute to Ex-Amnesty Boss Kingsley Kuku, Hails Leadership Legacy During IYC Project Inspection

The President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC Worldwide), Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, has lauded former Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Kingsley Kuku, for his visit to the council’s project site ahead of the July 11 elections.

Describing the visit as a great honour, Lokpobiri said Dr. Kuku remains one of the most distinguished leaders to emerge from the Ijaw struggle, whose contributions to youth empowerment, leadership development, and the advancement of the Niger Delta continue to inspire generations.

According to him, Kuku’s presence at the project site reflects his enduring commitment to the growth of the IYC and his unwavering belief in the capacity of young people to drive positive change within the Ijaw nation.

“Dr. Kingsley Kuku is a leader whose legacy continues to resonate across the Niger Delta. His guidance, sacrifices, and commitment to the cause of the Ijaw people remain a source of inspiration to many of us. We are deeply honoured by his visit and encouragement,” Lokpobiri stated.

The IYC President further assured members that work on the project is progressing as planned and will be completed in time for the July 11 elections, noting that the facility stands as a symbol of unity, resilience, and the collective aspirations of Ijaw youths.

He also called on members of the council to remain united, emphasizing that the success of the forthcoming elections depends on the shared commitment of all stakeholders to peace, progress, and the continued advancement of the Ijaw nation.
