JAMB Announces Release Date For 2026 UTME Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results for candidates who participated in the first batch of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released on Friday, April 17, 2026.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board disclosed that candidates who sat for the examination on Thursday, April 16, should expect their results to be available before midnight.
“This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, April 16, 2026, that their results will be released today before midnight,” the statement read.
JAMB added that an official confirmation would be made once the results are fully uploaded and accessible to candidates.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force has reassured candidates and the general public of adequate security arrangements during the examination period.
The police dismissed circulating reports suggesting potential threats at some examination centres, particularly in parts of the North Central region, describing them as false and unverified.
According to police spokesperson Anthony Placid, security presence has been intensified nationwide to ensure a safe and conducive environment for candidates.
He noted that officers have been strategically deployed; both visibly and covertly, across examination centres to maintain order and prevent any disruption.
The development comes as thousands of candidates across Nigeria continue to participate in the nationwide entrance examination into tertiary institutions.
