EXCLUSIVE: Peretei Emerges NDC Chairman in Ondo — AIV Report
Kennedy Ikantu Peretei has emerged as the Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ondo State, as confirmed by Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters.
This development follows his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), as contained in a letter exclusively obtained by our newsroom.
In the letter dated March 25, 2026, and addressed to the APC Ward Chairman in Arogbo Ward 1, Peretei stated:
“I joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the 29th October, 2025 with my teaming supporters across Ondo State, at a grand event… in Akure.”
He cited internal crisis within the party as the reason for his exit:
“It was in the evening of that same day it became clear to me that deep cleavages exist within the party; accentuated by sycophancy, blackmail, half-truths and outright lies.”
“It is difficult to maintain one’s sanity in such an environment.”
Declaring his next political move, he wrote:
“Therefore, having consulted very widely, I have decided to resign my membership of the APC… Henceforth, I align with the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).”
He concluded:
“I wish the party well as it navigates the political terrain of our country. God Bless NDC.”
Following this development, Kennedy Ikantu Peretei has now taken up leadership of the NDC in Ondo State, marking a significant political realignment within the state.
