Development, Security Top Agenda As Eno Visits Tinubu
Umo Eno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, on February 25, paid a strategic working visit to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he briefed the President on the current state of affairs in Akwa Ibom.
The meeting, held at the Presidential Villa, popularly known as Aso Rock, provided an opportunity for Governor Eno to update the President on key developments across critical sectors in the state, including infrastructure, economic expansion, security, and social welfare initiatives.
Speaking after the engagement, Governor Eno said the visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between Akwa Ibom State and the Federal Government.
“I came to brief Mr. President on the progress we are making in Akwa Ibom State and to further seek federal collaboration on strategic areas that will accelerate development for our people,” the Governor stated.
He emphasized the importance of sustained federal-state synergy in delivering democratic dividends, noting that Akwa Ibom remains committed to aligning its development blueprint with national priorities.
Governor Eno also reaffirmed his administration’s focus on inclusive growth, investment drive, and citizen-centered governance, adding that the state government would continue to pursue policies that enhance economic opportunities and social stability.
The visit underscores the administration’s resolve to maintain strong institutional ties with the Presidency while advancing developmental goals aimed at improving the living standards of Akwa Ibom people.
The high-level meeting reflects ongoing consultations between subnational governments and the Federal Government to foster cooperative governance and national cohesion.
