In a strategic move to empower education through digital access, the administration of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), under the leadership of High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Ph.D., has distributed brand-new, original HP laptops to final-year students of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.
The initiative followed a thorough verification exercise conducted for new intakes of the institution.
A team from the PAP office, led by the Igbinedion Relationship Manager, Dr. Mina, oversaw the distribution process at the Law Auditorium. The laptops, which were handed out at the end of the verification process, are expected to aid students in their research, project writing, and overall academic advancement.
Speaking on behalf of the PAP Administrator, the Relationship Manager stated:
“This gesture reflects the commitment of High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Ph.D., to education, youth empowerment, and digital inclusion. We believe these laptops will not only ease academic work but also position our scholars for greater competitiveness in the global digital space. The Amnesty Programme remains committed to the transformation of beneficiaries through sustainable empowerment and support.”
The students, visibly excited, expressed deep appreciation to the PAP administration for the timely support, describing the laptops as a vital tool in their academic journey and future careers.
This distribution is part of the broader vision of the PAP office to invest in human capital development, particularly among Niger Delta students, as a pathway to peace, productivity, and sustainable growth.
