In a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police condemned the conduct of the officers, stating that their actions go against the core principles and professional standards expected within the Force. “Such misconduct is unacceptable and damages the trust and confidence the public places in us,” the statement read.

The officers involved have been identified and are currently facing internal disciplinary measures. This action, according to the Force, reflects its broader effort to uphold internal discipline and restore public faith in law enforcement.

The Police also issued a warning to individuals and organizations that utilize police personnel for escort or security services, urging them to avoid any actions that could compromise the integrity or reputation of officers and the Force as a whole.

Reiterating its commitment to professionalism and accountability, the Nigeria Police Force stressed that all forms of misconduct will be met with appropriate consequences.
