Authorities are still investigating whether the incident was due to human interference, particularly in light of recent threats from militant groups to target oil infrastructure in response to the Federal Government’s decision to withhold Rivers State’s allocation amid the ongoing political crisis.
Reports indicate that the explosion took place on Monday night along the vital export pipeline, which transports crude oil to the Bonny Terminal.
