Member representing Port Harcourt Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Amadi Blessing, popularly known as “Mama Port Harcourt,” has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following her emergence as winner of her party’s primary election.
Amadi Blessing, who secured the ticket to contest for another term in office, attributed her victory to the support of party faithful, grassroots mobilization, and the political structure established by the former Rivers State governor.
Speaking shortly after the announcement of the primary results, the lawmaker thanked delegates and supporters for what she described as their “confidence and unwavering support.”
“This victory belongs to the people of Port Harcourt Constituency II who have continued to stand with us throughout this journey,” she said.
The lawmaker also commended Wike for his role in strengthening the party’s political structure in Rivers State, noting that his leadership had continued to shape the careers of many politicians within the state.
“We appreciate the leadership and political guidance of Chief Nyesom Wike. His commitment to the growth of the party and empowerment of leaders remains visible,” she stated.
Political observers say Amadi Blessing’s victory further highlights the continued influence of Wike within the political landscape of Rivers State, particularly among party loyalists and grassroots supporters.
