The solidarity march, held in Warri, was attended by all zonal and chapter chairmen of the Ijaw Youth Council worldwide, members of the 6th Mobile Parliament led by Allen Tomoni, and other key stakeholders. The demonstrators warned against attempts by faceless groups to derail Ogbuku’s focus on regional development.

Speaking at the NDDC office in Warri, Comrade Nicholas Igarama, Chairman of IYC Western Zone, urged Niger Deltans to support Ogbuku’s policies, emphasising his commitment to the region’s development since assuming office over a year ago.

“This march is in solidarity with Dr. Ogbuku amidst relentless criticism. As the MD of a constitutionally backed agency with a four-year tenure, his impact in just over a year is evident. From infrastructure improvements to sector-wide interventions, his leadership is yielding results,” Igarama stated.

He highlighted the ongoing East-West Road rehabilitation as part of NDDC’s oversight responsibilities and called on Niger Deltans to unite in support of Ogbuku’s administration for the region’s collective progress.
