The Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has adopted a new Regional Development Master Plan, created with input from stakeholders, to replace the previous 15-year plan that expired in 2020.

This decision was one of the key outcomes of the NDDC’s 2025 board and management strategic retreat held in Ikeja, Lagos. The retreat aimed to assess the commission’s progress, address challenges, and outline a new direction for improving its efficiency and impact in the Niger Delta region, in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
