I am delighted to join people of goodwill to express huge appreciation and gratitude to the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for assenting to the Bill establishing the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West LGA of Delta State.
This is a legacy to behold; a milestone to savour and a testament to Mr President’s love for the people of the Niger Delta Region. As a proud Ijaw man, and indeed as one with the maiden opportunity from my Kingdom (Arogbo) to represent the Ilajes and the Ijaw speaking people of Arogbo and Apoi Kingdoms, this phenomenal and record-breaking action speaks volume and marks an inspiring turning point for me.
While I am particularly delighted to be identified with the birth of this historic page in our lives as Member of the House of Representatives, I must salute the very resilient and patriotic enigma, the very revered man of many firsts, HIGH CHIEF GOVERNMENT OWEIZIDE EKPOMUPOLO (Tompolo), the IZONEBIDOUWEI OF IZON NATION…..Odokorikodo ! Same goes for his able lieutenant and silent achiever, Engineer Mathew
Tonlagha whose energetic and supportive efforts over the years have finally paid off in this regard.
