The Ondo State Police have announced a restriction on both vehicular and motorcycle movement from 6 am to 4 pm on Saturday for the Local Government (LG) election.
Mr. Wilfred Afolabi, the state Commissioner of Police, disclosed this in a statement released on Thursday in Akure by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Funmilayo Odunlami, citing security concerns. He advised commuters who may be passing through the state to plan ahead, as they are being informed in advance of the movement restrictions.
However, the police will allow free movement for security personnel, healthcare workers, firefighters, and other essential service providers to carry out their duties. Emergency cases will also be considered for movement.
