Ritualist nabbed with human body parts in western Nigeria
Two alleged ritualists have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in Oja Odan, which is located in the state’s Yewa North Local Government Area. After a distressing finding of human remains and an allegation of an alleged kidnapping, the suspects, Monday Ogunniyi and Oladeyo Idowu, were taken into custody. The case started when Oladeyo Idowu, a resident of Oja Odan’s School 4 neighborhood, reported Regina Oladeyo’s kidnapping to a police station, according to a statement issued by the command’s spokeswoman, SP Omolola Odutola, on Tuesday. Police said that after Idowu accused Ogunniyi of kidnapping Regina, they looked into the matter more. The police discovered human remains at a site connected to the suspects during their operation.
According to Odutola, Regina Oladeyo was found in Monday Ogunniyi’s home in the Okegbala neighborhood of Oja Odan as a result of police investigations. Ogunniyi acknowledged kidnapping Regina during interrogation, but he and the complainant, Oladeyo Idowu, were accused of participating in ritualistic rituals using human remains, according to the statement. Subsequent research showed that the two men had made a deal to obtain human parts from a decaying body for their ceremonial needs.
