Governor Diri Joins PDP Leaders to Drum Support for Agboola Ajayi

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Thursday joined other state governors and executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to attend the grand finale of the party’s campaigns ahead of the Ondo State governorship election. The event, held in Akure, rallied support for the PDP candidate, His Excellency Agboola Ajayi, as the state prepares for the crucial November 16 polls.

Governor Diri, alongside the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, members of the National Working Committee, and other party leaders urged the people of Ondo State to vote decisively for the PDP Addressing party supporters, he stressed the importance of vigilance at polling units, wards, and collation centres to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.

“We don’t want to hear that we won but were rigged out. Someone can only rig where they are popular,” Governor Diri emphasized, underscoring the power of the electorate in shaping their destiny.

He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to guarantee the integrity of the electoral process.

“This election is an opportunity for the people to free themselves from oppression. Power belongs to the people, and the November 16 election is winnable if we remain vigilant and protect our votes,” Diri stated.

The PDP grand finale in Akure served as a clarion call for party members and supporters to remain steadfast, ensuring their collective will is reflected in the election outcome.
