Tantita Security Chairman Tompolo Mourns Gen. Lagbaja, Salutes His Contribution to Oil Asset Protection

In a heartfelt condolence message, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, extended his sympathies to President Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian Military, the Nigerian Army, and the family of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 56.

Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, appointed by President Tinubu on June 19, 2023, had been instrumental in safeguarding Nigeria’s oil and gas infrastructure in the Niger Delta region. Tompolo praised the late General’s significant contributions to national security, particularly his efforts to prevent external threats to Nigeria’s vital resources.

“We are indeed touched by the sad story of the demise of our beloved General, who contributed so much to the security of the country and against external aggressions,” Tompolo stated, emphasizing that Gen. Lagbaja’s dedication to securing Niger Delta’s critical assets was widely recognized within the industry.

He concluded his message with prayers for strength and fortitude for President Tinubu, the Nigerian Military, the Army, and Gen. Lagbaja’s family as they mourn their profound loss.
