MILITARY MAYHEM: Okuama Residents Flee for Lives!
In a horrifying and brazen act of aggression, the Okuama community in Delta State has come under attack by heavily armed soldiers. The military invasion, which began this morning, has left the community in ruins and its residents fleeing for their lives.
Eyewitnesses describe the scene as “absolute chaos” with soldiers shooting indiscriminately and setting fire to homes and buildings. The community’s makeshift tents have been razed to the ground, leaving many without shelter.
“I was hiding in the bush, listening to the gunfire and screams,” said one resident, who wished to remain anonymous. “I saw soldiers dragging people away, beating them mercilessly. It was like a war zone.”
The reason behind the military’s brutal attack remains unclear, but residents suspect it may be linked to the recent arrest of their community leaders. “Our leaders were taken away weeks ago, and now this,” said another resident. “We’re being punished for speaking out against injustice.”
As the situation continues to unfold, the community is in dire need of assistance. “We need help, we need protection,” pleaded a community elder.
“Our people are being killed, our homes are being destroyed. We can’t take it anymore.”
The international community is urged to intervene and put an end to the military’s reign of terror in Okuama.
The Nigerian government must be held accountable for the actions of its soldiers and ensure that justice is served.
