Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion Int’l Honours Late Patriarch and Evangelist, Pa Amakiri Filatei in Grand Style
In a magnificent tribute, the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Zion Int’l Bira-ama, Biagbini, held a Service of Songs to honour the life and legacy of their esteemed patriarch, the late Pa Amakiri Filatei.
The service, officiated by Snr. Boan. Ebenezer Titiboh and assisted by Venerable Pilot Filatei, the Biagbini-Resident Pastor of King Jesus Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ, showcased an inspiring unity among various Christian denominations during the interdenominational wake-keep service.
The event was graced by the presence of Tamarauemi Zion’s head minister, Snr. Boanerge S.S Jide, the Founder of Christ Glorious Church of Biagbini, Revd. Mope Meshach, and other notable clergymen, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
The choir, led by Boanerges F. A Iwabi and directed by Snr. Boanerge Kpejoh, delivered a soul-stirring performance that left the congregation deeply moved.
The Service of Songs saw a diverse attendance from various denominations, including First Baptist Church, Biagbini; Akikoromo Zion, Biagbini; Doukiri Zion, Okaminiwei Community; New Amanamana Zion, and many others.
Family members from both paternal and maternal sides, along with notable individuals from the Arogbo-Ijaw ethnic group, attended the ceremony to pay their respects.

Late Pa Amakiri Filatei, the founder of Bira-Ama Zion Church of the Cherubim and Seraphim faith was a Snr. Boanerges and a Jerusalem Pilgrim (JP). He was 90 years old at the time of his passing on August 2, 2024 and is survived by 33 children residing worldwide. His father, the late Chief Filatei Ukodougha, was the first Amananawei of Biagbini, and his mother, the late Wosi Filatei, was the daughter of Edebo Egbekun. Notably, the descendants of Edebo recently completed a unique legacy house (with green energy source) at Arogbo in her honour.
