Residents of Tamaraubotei Zion Community in the Ukparama axis of Arogbo Kingdom, Ondo State, on Tuesday trooped out in large numbers to welcome Senior Prophet David Moses, General Overseer of the Mission of Christ Light Church Believers (Deliverance Ministry) Warri, Delta State, as he returned to his hometown after an 11-year absence.
The cleric, popularly known among his followers as Prophet Moses, arrived at the riverine community through the Benin-Ondo coastline in the company of security personnel from Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and other federal security agencies.
His arrival attracted a large gathering of residents, supporters, traditional leaders, and religious faithful who received him with songs, cheers, and cultural displays.
Among dignitaries present at the reception were prominent Niger Delta figures, including High Chief Segun Couson and High Chief (Gen.) Toboulayefa ThankGod Toikumoh, alongside several community leaders and associates.
Community groups and admirers reportedly presented cash gifts to the cleric during the reception as supporters took turns to honour him.
The visit later turned into a religious revival session where Prophet Mafogbemi ministered prayers, deliverance, and healing to worshippers.
A major highlight of the gathering was the testimony of a woman said to have regained her sight after prayers by the prophet, a development that stirred emotional reactions and jubilation among attendees.
The healing claim, however, could not be independently verified at the time of filing this report.
Speaking during the event, Prophet David revealed that his return to the community came more than a decade after the death of his mother, whose remains, he said, would be brought home for burial in December.
The cleric also announced plans to complete an ongoing church building project in the community and provide solar-powered street lights across Tamaraubotei Zion Community.
He further donated cash gifts to residents and groups present at the event, drawing applause from members of the community and visitors from neighbouring settlements across the Ukparama axis.
According to the prophet, his homecoming and growing influence were in fulfilment of prophecies reportedly handed down by the founding fathers of the Zion Community concerning the emergence of a son “whose glory would be different.”
Residents described the gathering as one of the largest spiritual and social events witnessed in recent years across Akpata and neighbouring communities in the Arogbo Kingdom.
