Renowned peace and development advocate, Sheriff Mulade, has officially obtained the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to contest for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mulade, a prominent Niger Delta environmental rights activist and community development advocate, expressed optimism about emerging victorious in the February 2027 polls to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Speaking shortly after picking up the form, the Delta State-born activist described the moment as a significant step in his commitment to service and development.

“I am very happy today for making this possible, and I dedicate this form to God Almighty and humanity,” he stated.

The Ibe-Sorimowei of the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom also appreciated the national leadership of the NDC, particularly former Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, for giving him the opportunity to pursue his aspiration to represent the people of Warri Federal Constituency.

Mulade said his ambition was driven by the desire to promote peace, unity and inclusive representation among the Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities that make up the constituency.

“I am the right man for the job at this moment. I represent peace, unity, development and inclusive people-oriented representation devoid of ethnic sentiment and segregation,” he said.

The activist further pledged to work closely with traditional rulers, political stakeholders and community leaders across the constituency to strengthen peaceful coexistence and accelerate development in Warri and its surrounding communities.

According to him, sustainable peace remains critical to attracting meaningful development and investment to the area, which he described as one of Delta State’s major commercial hubs.

“I promise to work closely with revered traditional rulers, stakeholders and political leaders of the constituency to ensure sustainable peace that will attract the desired attention of development to the ancient Warri city and environs through inclusive advocacy, constructive engagement and dialogue for progress,” Mulade added.

His declaration is expected to add momentum to political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections in Delta State.
