The executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief (Hon) Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, has hailed the emergence of Hon. D.I. Kekemeke, former governorship Aspirant,  Ondo State, as the South-West Zonal Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), characterising the development as a landmark achievement for the council area and the state at large.

In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, Molos described Kekemeke as a consummate party strategist whose political dexterity and longstanding involvement in party affairs have now earned him a pivotal leadership role within the APC’s regional structure.

Hon. D. I Kekemeke, who previously held key positions in Ondo State including member Ondo State house of Assembly, Antoney general of the state, Commissioner for Works, land and housing, secretary to the state government (SSG), pioneer APC state chairman, APC National Vice Chairman (South West) as well as the chairman Nigeria postal service (NIPOST).

He is widely regarded within party circles as an experienced mobiliser with deep institutional knowledge.

Commending his elevation, Hon. Molos, said the new zonal chairman embodies resilience, foresight and an uncommon capacity for consensus-building across diverse political interests in the South-West.

This attainment is not only well-deserved but also reflective of his enduring commitment to party cohesion and progressive ideals. Our people are confident he will deploy his vast experience to foster unity, stability and purposeful growth within the party,” Molos stated.

The council boss further conveyed optimism that Kekemeke’s stewardship would reinvigorate the APC’s operational strength in the region while enhancing its electoral competitiveness.

He also reaffirmed Ese-Odo’s readiness to align with the new leadership, pledging institutional support and collaborative engagement aimed at sustaining the party’s momentum across the South-West and beyond.

Political observers and analysts, note that Kekemeke’s rise may recalibrate party dynamics in Ondo State, potentially consolidating grassroots loyalty and reinforcing the APC’s strategic foothold in the zone.

The statement was signed on behalf the Chairman by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Denis Pounah, who described the emergence as monumental.
