The Qatar Defence Force said on Tuesday morning that it had successfully intercepted and destroyed a barrage of drones and missiles launched from Iran, preventing what officials described as coordinated attempts to strike multiple locations across the country.

In an official statement, the military confirmed that all incoming threats were neutralized before reaching their intended targets, adding that no casualties or material damage were recorded.

We thank Allah for His protection and guidance. Our defence systems successfully repelled all hostile drones and missiles targeting our territory. The nation remains safe and secure,” the statement said.

Authorities did not immediately disclose the number of projectiles involved or the specific locations allegedly targeted.

However, officials stressed that the country’s air defence systems were activated promptly and operated “with high efficiency” to counter the attack.

The statement underscored that Qatar remains secure, with security forces maintaining heightened readiness as a precautionary measure.

The incident signals a sharp escalation in regional tensions, though officials sought to reassure residents and the international community that the situation is under control. Further details are expected as assessments continue.
