NDDC Boss, Pere Se-Bobo of Ogu Gu Kingdom, King Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Leads Delegation at Bayelsa Funeral of Late Sen. Ewhrudjakpo
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), His Royal Majesty, Pere Se-Bobo of Ogu Gu Kingdom, King Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, led a high-level delegation of the Commission to St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Ofoni, Bayelsa State, for the Funeral Mass of His Excellency, the late Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, PhD.
The solemn ceremony drew an array of prominent national and state leaders who gathered to pay their final respects to the departed statesman. Representing the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), was the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri. Other dignitaries in attendance included former President Goodluck Jonathan; the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri; the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde; and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, among others.
The funeral service was marked by heartfelt tributes celebrating the late Senator Ewhrudjakpo’s enduring contributions to public service, governance, and the socio-political development of Bayelsa State and the wider Niger Delta region.
In a message of condolence, the Board, Management, and Staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission expressed their profound sympathies to the family, friends, and associates of the late Senator, praying for strength and comfort during this period of mourning.
