NDIDI, ONYEKA, BASSEY FACE SUSPENSION RISK AHEAD OF SUPER EAGLES’ AFCON QUARTER-FINAL CLASH WITH ALGERIA

Super Eagles captains Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and Calvin Bassey are on suspension alert ahead of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-final showdown against Algeria.

The trio were all cautioned during Nigeria’s round-of-16 victory over Mozambique, placing them one yellow card away from suspension. Any further booking against the Desert Foxes would rule them out of the semi-final, should Nigeria advance.

The development poses a major concern for the Super Eagles as they prepare for a crucial encounter in the knockout stages of the tournament.

If Nigeria progresses to the last four, they will face the winner of the quarter-final tie between Morocco and Cameroon.

The highly anticipated quarter-final match between Nigeria and Algeria will take place at the Marrakech Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 pm Nigerian time.
