President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after concluding his work vacation earlier than scheduled.

This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

The President had departed Nigeria for France on September 4, 2025, to observe part of his annual holiday, with plans to also spend some time in the United Kingdom.

While in Paris, President Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, where both leaders reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation. They agreed to strengthen Nigeria, France relations to promote mutual prosperity, economic growth, and global stability.

Tinubu’s early return is expected to refocus attention on pressing national issues, including the economy, fuel sector reforms, and preparations ahead of the 2027 elections.
