In recognition of his unwavering support and contributions to the growth of PENGlobal, the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, High Chief (Amb.) Dr. Godspower Gbenekama (JP), has been conferred with the prestigious Brand Influencer Award of the Year.
The award was formally presented at the High Chief’s residence on Monday by Comrade Ozobo Austin, President of the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF), who stood in for PENGlobal Brand Director, Mr. Abai Francis.
According to Mr. Francis, the honour is a tribute to High Chief Gbenekama’s consistent encouragement and strategic support, which have played a pivotal role in the development of the PENGlobal brand.
“We are deeply grateful for his wise counsel, proactive engagement, and impactful recommendations. These contributions have not only helped shape our current achievements but also positioned us for greater growth,” the Brand Director noted.
In his remarks, High Chief Gbenekama expressed gratitude for the recognition and commended the PENGlobal team for their dedication to factual and impactful storytelling. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their mission and to continue offering their platform for the dissemination of credible information.

High Chief Gbenekama is one of fifteen notable individuals selected for the 2025 PENGlobal Awards, which aim to honour personalities whose contributions have positively impacted society and advanced the goals of the PENGlobal brand.
