The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has summoned the suspended Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and his Deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him as part of an official inquiry.
This directive, made public through a special announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, requires the suspended Governor to present detailed records and documentation on appointments made during his administration over the last two years.
According to the statement, the inquiry seeks clarity on the rationale and procedures behind the appointments, and will also offer Fubara the opportunity to explain why he believes he should be reinstated.
