The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed his Eid-el-Fitr message through a statement issued on Wednesday by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Magdalene Ajani.
He congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and encouraged them to uphold the values of self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace. Emphasizing love, forgiveness, and solidarity, he highlighted their role in fostering a harmonious society.
Tunji-Ojo urged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for the nation’s peace, stability, and prosperity. He expressed hope that Eid-el-Fitr would promote unity and cooperation across religious and ethnic divides.
The minister also advised citizens to celebrate safely and responsibly while extending kindness to the less privileged in the true spirit of Ramadan and Eid.
On behalf of the Federal Government, he wished all Muslim faithful a heartfelt Eid Mubarak and prayed that the blessings of the season bring joy, success, and fulfillment to all.
