2027: Otuaro Hails Youth Surge in South-South, Applauds Seyi Tinubu’s Mobilisation Drive
The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has expressed support for a youth-driven political mobilisation in the South-South, describing it as a sign of growing backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
His remarks followed a regional rally of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour held in Benin City between April 23 and 24, 2026, where youth groups gathered to demonstrate support for the president’s second-term ambition.
Otuaro also acknowledged the involvement of Seyi Tinubu, citing his outreach efforts across the country as a factor in strengthening grassroots engagement.
“I congratulate Mr. Seyi Tinubu and the leaders and members of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour on the successful South-South rally,” he said. “The mobilisation is a huge testament to the strong resolve of youths in the region to back President Tinubu’s re-election bid.”
Seyi Tinubu arrived in Benin City with members of the group and was received by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, at the Government House.
Commenting on the turnout, Otuaro said the participation of young people from across the region indicates alignment with the administration’s policies and projects.
He referenced infrastructure development and federal initiatives in the Niger Delta as contributing factors.
“The youths of the South-South zone have firmly declared their stance due to the numerous achievements of this administration in the region,” he stated.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is working, and it is important that the president is given the opportunity to consolidate on these gains.”
He further noted increased youth representation in government positions, adding that appointees from the region are making meaningful contributions.
Otuaro described the collaboration between the tour organisers and other support groups as a coordinated effort to build momentum ahead of the next general election cycle.
